Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in pop music. The band was created in 2009. The group is
composed of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos
PenaVega. They signed initially with Nick Records in 2009. Then, Columbia
Records transferred them to their new label. The group appeared on the
Nickelodeon television show of the identical name, Big Time Rush. The show ran
from November 28 the 29th of 2009 to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode included
"Big Time Rush" the group's debut single for promotion. The group
released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 as well as
24/Seven 2013. The band took an indefinite hiatus in the year 2014 that was
extended until 2021. the group resumed live performances and released the
single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush
to an album deal in 2009, alongside its TV series, Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon
collaborated with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and original music.
The show's debut single, "Big Time Rush" came out on November 29 on
the 29th of November. Officially announced by Nickelodeon the show first
broadcast in the U.S. in November 2009 before it was released worldwide. The
series premiered on a one-hour special trailer for the series and it is
currently the show's opening theme. The series also saw releases of promotional
singles including "City is Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big
Time Rush also covered the Play song "Famous" and was written by the
singer. The track was released to iTunes on June 29 in 2010. Following its
series premiere another track, "Halfway There", was released on
iTunes on April 27 in 2010. The song quickly became the band's first single to
chart on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 93 thanks to the sales of digital
music. On September 21 on the 21st of September in 2010, Big Time Rush released
second single "Till I Forget About You" to celebrate the release of
their debut album. The album, which is titled BTR and launched on the 11th of
October, 2010. The album reached the top 3 spot on the Billboard 200 and sold
67,000 copies within the first week.
