Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since November 11, 1996. After her first small performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985), she went onto perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte was in Taffin (in 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody began her modeling career after she was approached by a hopeful photographer. She has since evolved into commercial modelling. Doody tried to stay clear of glamorous and sexy roles, that was a rule she incorporated into her acting. After catching the eye of the casting director for the upcoming James Bond movie, she participated in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody appeared on John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising young actors for the year 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 when she was given the role of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying starring Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 film adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. She played Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. In 1991 Doody co-starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokesperson and then went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend in Major League II. Doody's return to the screen was in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. The year 2004, she starred in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest in the RTE Medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to play the lead role in the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. On 21 November 2018 she was awarded by the Almeria tierra de cine award as well as the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
