Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on August 26 2002. He is known as Lil Tecca. The release of "Ransom," his 2019 single, has helped him become a mainstream star. The track was also featured on his debut mixtape , We Love You Tecca (2019) which peaked at the top of the pile at 4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also included singles "Love Me", "Did It Again" and "Did It Again". His debut studio album titled"Virgo" (2020), debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. It also included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Dolly" & "When You Down". The second mixtape, We Love You Tecca 2 was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me" and many more. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was a son of Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26, 2002, in Queens, New York City. Sharpe was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and later relocated to Cedarhurst on Long Island. Sharpe was a kid with aspirations to be a basketball player, but Sharpe switched on music when he turned 12. Sharpe was a student at Lawrence High School. When Tecca was nine years old, Tecca acquiesced to his musical passion through rapping with friends using his Xbox. The two would sometimes make a mockery of each other. One of them was uploaded to SoundCloud years back, but it was later removed. In the beginning in high school, he had no plans of making music a living and instead , he envisioned becoming an NBA superstar. However, in the middle of his schooling, the basketball player lost interest and started to take music more seriously. The first track to become famous, "Tectri", was composed by Lil Gummybear in partnership with Lil Gummybear and released in the early part of 2017. He also dropped "Callin", another of his first songs. Tecca's career took off one year later when he released the smash single "Ransom" released and uploaded to Cole Bennett’s Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd, 2019. The song reached the top spot at 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has received over 800 million plays on Spotify and more than 300 million views on YouTube.
