Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, an actor and musician is well-known for playing hard-edged characters or wisecracking characters in action films. He has been in over $2.5 billion dollars of films. Walter Bruce Willis was born on the 19th of March 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany, to a German mother, Marlene Kassel, and an American father, David Andrew Willis (from Carneys Point, New Jersey), who were then living on an United States military base. The family relocated to the U.S. shortly after he was born, and he was raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey, where his mother worked as a bank clerk, and his father worked as a welder as well as a factory worker. Willis began to develop an interest in the drama arts during his high school. He was "discovered" during his time working at an New York City cafe. Then, he was a part of several off-Broadway productions. He was working as a bartender one night when a casting director spotted his style and asked for him to serve as a bartender in a small movie. After many auditions, Willis had a brief appearance in films, usually uncredited, before getting the role of private surveillance "David Addison" along with the sultry Cybill Shepherd in the smash romantic comedy series on television Moonlighting (1985). His humorous and wisecracking P.I. His humorous and wisecracking P.I. is frequently seen as a trial run to test his character John McClane, the hardboiled NYC detective in Die Hard (1988), that saw Willis combat a gang of brutal international thieves at the top of a Los Angeles skyscraper. In Die Hard 2 (1990) Willis reprised his role. The group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers is trying to bring back a corrupt South American general. They are set in Washington's Dulles International Airport. Excellent box office returns demanded a further sequel Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) with a new co-starring Samuel L. Jackson as an obnoxious Harlem shop owner unwittingly thrust into supporting McClane in a bombing campaign on a sweltering day in New York.
