Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis Greek pronunciation born October 1 1969) is an American comedian, actor, musician, and writer. He was a part of the Comedy Central Presents special and hosted his own show Late World with Zach on VH1. Galifianakis has appeared as a lead in a number of films that include The Hangover Trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010). The Campaign (2012), Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance (2014) as well as Masterminds (2016). Galifianakis also voiced characters in animated films like Puss in Boots (2011). The Lego Batman Movie (2017). Missing Link (2019). Ron's Gone The Wrong Way (2021). Galifianakis currently hosts the Funny or Die website talk show Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. He was also a part of FX's television show Baskets. In the year 2017, he was nominated to win the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actor in an Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis was a native of Wilkesboro, North Carolina on October 1st 1970. His mother is English and Scottish-Irish, while his paternal grandparents originate from Crete. His father was an Greek Orthodox Christian and he was baptized. He is the father of Merritt the younger sister of his as well as Greg and Greg, his elder brother. The cousin of his Nick Galifianakis (Washington Post cartoonist) is his uncle. Galifianakis attended Wilkes Central High School, and later attended North Carolina State University, where he studied communications. Galifianakis worked at a public radio station in college. He taught waltz in 1991 when he met Mary J. Blige. Galifianakis joined Saturday Night Live two weeks after making his TV debut on Boston Common. He's said "I participated on Saturday Night Live for two weeks, and Britney Spears was the host for one week while I was working. Created a sketch.
