Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going on to be a star in
big-screen comedies like 'Elf' 'Anchorman,' and Talladega Nights. Will Ferrell
was born in Irvine in 1967. He began his comedy career as a part of the group
from Los Angeles called The Groundlings. He was a Saturday Night Live cast
member for seven years and became a huge comedic draw with off-color hits, such
as Old School 2003 and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell
co-founded Funny or Die, a popular video streaming website. He also achieved
successes as an actor voiceover in animated films , such as Megamind (2010).
John William Ferrell was born on July 16 1967 in Irvine, California. The
youngest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell and teacher Kay
Ferrell, Will was--by his own admission--hardly the class clown when he was
when he was a student at University High School. Ferrell who was calm and quiet
decided to leave his mark on football in which he established an all-time
record at the school for the most field goals scored. Ferrell was a more
laid-back person in suburban homes and didn't exhibit the same outlandish or
humorous outbursts later to define his career. In an interview with Esquire,
his mother said that Ferrell was "very calm and even-tempered. He was very
easygoing." "You're familiar with those Matchbox automobiles?"
Will will line up his Matchbox cars, by himself and be utterly content. If you
were to ask him, "Do you want to visit Disneyland today or line up your
cars?' He'd need to think about it. Ferrell was not a perfect straight man, but
that's not to say he was not. A glimpse of Ferrell's comic talents was
displayed each morning at high school when Ferrell disguised himself in order
to announce the events of the day over the PA system. Ferrell graduated in
1986, and enrolled at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
There he joined Delta Tau fraternity to pursue the degree of a sports
journalist.
